About The Position

Monarch Investment and Management Group is hiring a full-time Apartment Maintenance Technician at Brookwood Apartments, a 216-unit community in Wichita, Kansas. The role includes responding to resident work orders, preparing units between residents, performing property repairs and upkeep, and participating in an emergency on-call rotation. Compensation is $18–$20 per hour based on experience, with quarterly maintenance bonuses of up to $750 and a $100 bonus for each on-call rotation. The company describes this as an immediate-hire, year-round position with growth opportunities.

Candidates will complete a written maintenance skills test during the interview process. Pre-employment screening includes a criminal background check and drug screening, and applicants must have a valid driver’s license. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with painting, drywall, light electrical work, and basic plumbing.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving ability.
• Willingness to complete basic training within 30 days.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Complete a written maintenance skills test as part of the interview process.
• Pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.

Nice To Haves

• HVAC certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally.
• Turn units between residents, including make-ready repairs.
• Perform interior and exterior painting and staining.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems.
• Perform grounds maintenance and preventative care.
• Keep maintenance areas clean and organized.
• Participate in the emergency on-call rotation.
