About The Position

Monarch Investment is hiring an Apartment Maintenance Rover Technician to work across multiple apartment communities and on special projects in the Evansville, Indiana area. This full-time, on-site position offers a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., with on-call coverage at Evansville properties approximately one week every seven weeks. The role pays $32.00–$35.00 per hour, with potential bonuses, and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The rover performs a range of apartment maintenance and repair work, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, appliance, and water-heater work. The position also involves traveling between sites as directed and independently managing projects. Candidates complete a maintenance skills assessment and physical demonstration during the interview process. Employment is contingent on pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and drug screening, and requires a valid driver’s license.

Requirements

Valid EPA/HVAC certification and demonstrated HVAC experience, including installations and repairs.
At least 1 year of maintenance experience or equivalent.
Some apartment maintenance experience.
Some experience managing and/or executing capital projects.
Ability to climb ladders from 6 to 32 feet.
Basic safety knowledge and ability to apply safety principles to work; basic training will be provided within 30 days of hire if needed.
General understanding and ability to complete drywall, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC and/or boiler, water-heater, and appliance work.
Ability to self-manage and stay on task during solo projects.
Ability to travel and work between different sites as directed on a daily basis.
Valid driver’s license.
Pass required pre-employment criminal background and drug screenings.
Complete the maintenance skills assessment and physical demonstration required during the interview process.

Responsibilities

Perform maintenance and repairs at multiple apartment communities in the Evansville area.
Work on special projects and capital projects at assigned properties.
Complete drywall work, painting, and carpentry.
Perform plumbing work, including sweating copper pipe.
Repair electrical components, including outlets, switches, and light fixtures.
Work on HVAC and/or boiler systems and water heaters, both electric and gas.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair appliances such as refrigerators, stoves, dishwashers, and garbage disposals.
Travel between different sites as directed on a daily basis.
Manage and stay on task during solo projects.
Participate in on-call coverage at Evansville properties approximately one week every seven weeks.
