Apartment cleaner needed in Rising Sun, IN
About The Position
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented independent cleaning contractor (1099) to clean apartment units and common areas across communities in the Rising Sun, Indiana area. This position is provided on an as-needed basis and is suited to a self-motivated professional who can work independently and deliver high-quality results. The contractor will prepare vacant apartments for new residents through detailed move-out or make-ready cleaning and will clean shared areas when requested. The contractor must supply their own cleaning equipment and products, provide proof of general liability insurance, and have reliable transportation. Compensation is per unit or hourly, to be discussed, and work availability depends on unit availability. The contractor is expected to communicate about scheduling and completion timelines, meet agreed turnaround times, report damage or maintenance issues promptly, and conduct themselves professionally on the property.
Requirements
- Must operate as a 1099 independent contractor.
- Must provide proof of general liability insurance.
- Must supply own cleaning equipment and products.
- Reliable transportation required.
- Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to move appliances to clean behind and underneath them.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed move-out and make-ready cleaning of vacant apartment units.
- Clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms thoroughly.
- Clean inside refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers.
- Wipe down cabinets, baseboards, doors, trim, and fixtures.
- Clean interior windows, blinds, and window sills.
- Vacuum and/or mop flooring surfaces.
- Remove trash and debris from units and ensure units meet move-in-ready standards.
- When requested, clean hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces.
- Wipe down railings, doors, and high-touch surfaces in common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas; remove trash and maintain overall curb appeal.
- Communicate consistently about scheduling and completion timelines and complete work within agreed turnaround times.
- Immediately notify management of damage or maintenance issues discovered.
- Maintain professional conduct while on the property.
