Apartment Cleaner
About The Position
The Apartment Cleaner performs a variety of cleaning duties to maintain a clean, safe, and orderly environment across assigned facilities. The role supports workplace appearance and sanitation and contributes to a positive experience for employees, clients, and visitors. Duties include cleaning apartments, restrooms, pools, and exterior areas; removing trash; and completing utility touch-ups and other cleaning requests. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday, with two days off during the week. The hourly pay range is $18.50–$19.00, depending on experience and other listed factors. ABM describes the role as suitable for someone entering or returning to the workforce with limited experience and education, and encourages veterans and candidates with military experience to apply.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in janitorial, custodial, or general cleaning roles is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Familiarity with cleaning chemicals, equipment, and safety standards.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally.

Responsibilities
- Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and maintain hygiene standards.
- Empty trash and recycling bins and dispose of waste according to company policies.
- Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
- Maintain and properly store cleaning equipment and supplies.
- Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, and supply shortages to the supervisor.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for meetings, events, or special projects as needed.
- Follow safety procedures and company protocols related to cleaning and sanitation.
- Perform utility touch-ups and red-line tasks as requested.
- Clean vacant apartments and assigned areas, including pools, restrooms, and exterior spaces; remove exterior trash and pick up dog waste.
- Push cleaning carts, walk extensively, and complete tasks by deadlines.
