About The Position
The Apartment Cleaning Contractor is an independent 1099 contractor who provides cleaning services for apartment units and common areas in the Rising Sun, Indiana area. Work is performed on an as-needed basis, depending on unit availability. The contractor prepares vacant units for new residents through detailed move-out and make-ready cleaning and cleans shared areas when requested. The role requires reliable, thorough, independent work that meets company standards and agreed turnaround times. The contractor supplies their own cleaning equipment and products, provides proof of general liability insurance, and has reliable transportation. Compensation is per unit or hourly, to be discussed.
Requirements
- Must operate as a 1099 independent contractor.

Responsibilities
- Perform detailed move-out and make-ready cleaning of vacant apartments.
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize kitchens and bathrooms.
- Clean the inside of refrigerators, ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers.
- Wipe down cabinets, baseboards, doors, trim, and fixtures.
- Clean interior windows, blinds, and window sills.
- Vacuum and/or mop flooring surfaces.
- Remove trash and debris from apartment units.
- Ensure units meet move-in-ready standards.
- When requested, clean hallways, stairwells, laundry rooms, and other shared spaces.
- Wipe down railings, doors, and high-touch surfaces in common areas.
- Sweep, mop, and vacuum common areas.
- Remove trash and maintain overall curb appeal.
- Communicate consistently about scheduling and completion timelines.
- Complete work within agreed turnaround times to avoid leasing delays.
- Immediately notify management of damages or maintenance issues discovered.
- Maintain professional conduct while on the property.
