About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Ansible AI Consultant to join our client, Atos, in Chicago, IL. This is a hybrid/onsite role with a duration of 6+ months. The consultant will be responsible for leveraging Ansible AI-Assisted Automation Development, including Claude Code AI-assisted code generation and refactoring, prompt engineering for infrastructure automation, AI-assisted debugging and troubleshooting, AI-assisted playbook development and optimization, and AI-assisted documentation generation. The role involves various automation use cases such as server build and provisioning, configuration drift remediation, OS and middleware configuration management, patch and compliance automation, operational task automation, infrastructure lifecycle automation, and self-service automation development. Integration skills with ServiceNow, API-based orchestration, ITSM workflow integration, CI/CD integration, and GitOps practices are also essential.

Requirements

Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform (AAP) 2.x expertise
Ansible Playbook development
Ansible Roles, Collections, and Workflow Templates
Configuration Management and Configuration as Code knowledge
Infrastructure Automation experience
Git / GitHub based automation lifecycle understanding
Python scripting skills
YAML / Jinja2 proficiency
REST API integration experience
Automation Controller / Automation Hub administration
Event-Driven Ansible knowledge
AI-Assisted Automation Development experience (Claude Code, prompt engineering, AI-assisted debugging, playbook optimization, documentation generation)
Experience with automation use cases (server build, configuration drift, patch management, etc.)
ServiceNow integration experience
API-based orchestration experience
ITSM workflow integration experience
CI/CD integration experience
GitOps practices understanding
Must be local to Chicago, IL (proof of location required: DL or real-time picture of mailing address on mail, no digital bills)

Responsibilities

Develop and optimize Ansible Playbooks, Roles, Collections, and Workflow Templates.
Implement Infrastructure Automation using Configuration Management and Configuration as Code principles.
Utilize Git/GitHub for automation lifecycle management.
Develop Python scripts for automation tasks.
Integrate with REST APIs for automation.
Administer Automation Controller/Automation Hub.
Implement Event-Driven Ansible solutions.
Utilize AI-Assisted Automation Development, including Claude Code for code generation/refactoring, prompt engineering, debugging, playbook optimization, and documentation generation.
Automate server builds and provisioning.
Remediate configuration drift.
Manage OS and middleware configurations.
Automate patch and compliance processes.
Automate operational tasks.
Manage infrastructure lifecycles through automation.
Develop self-service automation solutions.
Integrate Ansible with ServiceNow for ITSM workflows.
Orchestrate processes using APIs.
Implement CI/CD and GitOps practices.
