About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Jill's Pet Resort. The role involves hands-on care for pet guests in a pet resort setting, helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while supporting their daily needs. The work is physically active and may involve exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Weekend and holiday availability is required, and open availability is preferred.

The attendant reports to the General Manager and works with resort staff to monitor pets, maintain enclosures and play areas, provide food and water, supervise play, assist with grooming and bathing, and handle laundry and pet belongings. The position pays $11.00–$12.00 per hour depending on experience, plus tips.

Requirements

• A strong love of animals.
• A calm and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work that may get dirty.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to remain on their feet for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays; weekend and holiday availability is required.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
• Open availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor each pet guest’s health and wellbeing, including observing their waste.
• Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
• Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
• Handle laundry and pet belongings to ensure they are clean.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
