About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Paw Print Inn to provide hands-on care for pets in a pet care center. The role involves maintaining clean, safe, and sanitized enclosures and play areas; feeding and providing fresh water; monitoring pets’ health and behavior; supervising play; and assisting with grooming-related tasks, laundry, and pet belongings. The position is physically active and includes exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. Pay starts at $15.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips. Employees can access earned wages through DailyPay. Destination Pet offers telehealth, a 401(k), and pet insurance.

Requirements

A strong love for animals.
A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to remain on one’s feet for the duration of a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Ability to work around cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of prior kennel or animal care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
Monitor each pet guest’s health, happiness, and waste, and report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
Assist with brushing and bathing.
Handle laundry and pets’ belongings so they remain clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
