About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Uberdog to provide hands-on care for pet guests. The role includes maintaining clean and safe animal areas, providing food and water, monitoring pets’ health and behavior, supervising play, and assisting with bathing, brushing, laundry, and pet belongings. The work is physically active and involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. The listed schedule is weekday evening shifts from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m., with no weekends.
Requirements
- A strong love for animals.
- Maintain a cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- Be willing to perform hands-on work that can get dirty.
- Lift up to 40 pounds.
- Remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
- Stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Be available for evening shifts.
Nice To Haves
- Prior kennel or animal care experience; applicants who are new to the field but eager to learn are also encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including elimination habits.
- Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
- Assist with brushing and bathing.
- Handle laundry and pet belongings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
