Animal Care Attendant (Flexible Working Hours)
About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Hound Dog Pet Hotel - West. The role involves providing hands-on care for pets in a pet hotel environment, maintaining clean and safe animal enclosures and play areas, and helping pets feel comfortable while supporting their families. The work is active and requires standing and being on your feet throughout the shift, frequent standing, walking, and stair climbing, and lifting up to 40 pounds. The position involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. The role reports to the General Manager. Previous kennel or animal care experience is preferred, along with a strong affection for animals, a calm and professional demeanor, and willingness to perform hands-on work. Pay starts at $14.00–$16.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips. Destination Pet offers telehealth, a 401(k), pet insurance, and access to earned wages through DailyPay.

Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health and happiness, including observing their elimination habits.
- Report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise pets during playtime and activities, including games of fetch.
- Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
- Handle laundry and pets’ belongings to ensure they are clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
