About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Rover Resort. The role involves hands-on care for pets in a pet care facility, helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for animal guests. The work is physically active and includes exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal waste. Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus, but candidates who are new to the field and eager to learn are welcome.

Requirements

• A strong love for animals.
• A calm and professional demeanor.
• Willingness to perform hands-on work, including getting dirty.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to remain on one's feet for the duration of a shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor each pet guest's health and well-being, including observing their waste, and report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise pets during playtime.
• Assist with brushing and bathing.
• Handle laundry and pets' belongings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
