About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at K-9 Coach. The role involves hands-on care for pet guests in a pet care facility and requires working on your feet in an active environment. Duties include maintaining clean and safe enclosures and play areas, feeding and watering pets, monitoring their health and behavior, supervising play, assisting with brushing and bathing, and handling laundry and pet belongings. The position requires availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays. Pay starts at $15.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips.

Requirements

A strong love of animals.
A calm and professional demeanor.
Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to remain on one's feet for the duration of a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
Monitor the health and well-being of pet guests, including observing their waste.
Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
Handle laundry and pet belongings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
