About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Wagsworth Manor Pet Resort. The role supports the care and comfort of pet guests by maintaining clean, safe, and sanitized enclosures and play areas; providing meals and fresh water; monitoring pets’ health and behavior; supervising play; and assisting with brushing, bathing, laundry, and belongings. The job is hands-on and physically active, with exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.

Requirements

• A strong love for animals.
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
• Ability to remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
• Comfort with hands-on work and exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.
• A calm and professional demeanor.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
• Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
• Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including waste, and report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Supervise pets during playtime.
• Assist with brushing and bathing.
• Handle laundry and pets’ belongings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
