About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Canine Fitness and Fun Center. The role involves hands-on care of pet guests in a pet care facility, including maintaining clean and safe spaces, providing food and water, monitoring pets, supervising play, and assisting with grooming-related tasks. The position is physically active and includes exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required.
Requirements
- A strong love for animals.
- Maintain a calm and professional demeanor.
- Be willing to perform hands-on work that may involve getting dirty.
- Be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Be able to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift.
- Be able to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work around cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.
Nice To Haves
- Prior kennel or animal care experience.
Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including observing their elimination habits.
- Report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
- Assist with brushing and bathing.
- Handle laundry and pets’ belongings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
