Animal Care Attendant (Flexible Working Hours)
About The Position
Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant at Creature Comforts. The role supports the care and comfort of pet guests by maintaining clean, safe, and sanitized enclosures and play areas; providing meals and fresh water; monitoring pets’ health and behavior; supervising play; and helping with brushing, bathing, laundry, and pet belongings. This is a hands-on, physically active position that involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. Prior kennel or animal-care experience is a plus, but candidates who are new to the field and eager to learn are welcome.
Requirements
- Passionate about animals.
- Cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work, including getting dirty.
- Able to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Able to remain on feet for the duration of the shift and frequently stand, walk, and climb stairs.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Able to work around cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.

- Prior kennel or animal-care experience.
Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health, happiness, and waste, and report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise playtime and activities.
- Assist with brushing and bathing.
- Handle laundry and pet belongings to ensure pets have clean items.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
