About The Position

Destination Pet is seeking an Animal Care Attendant to join their team at Pet Palace Pittsburgh. This role involves providing care for pets, ensuring their comfort and safety, and maintaining a clean environment. They offer various services including day care, boarding, grooming, training, and veterinary services.

Requirements

• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
• Availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays required.
• Exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and "accidents" is part of the gig.
• Must be able to be on feet for the duration of your shift.
• Must be able to stand, walk and climb stairs frequently.

Nice To Haves

• Prior kennel or animal care experience is a plus.
• Eagerness to learn if brand new to the field.

Responsibilities

• Keeping pet enclosures and play areas spotless, safe, and sanitized.
• Serving up meals and fresh water.
• Monitoring the health, happiness, and behavior of every pet guest.
• Reporting anything unusual to the General or Assistant Manager.
• Supervising playtime.
• Assisting with brushing and bath time.
• Handling laundry and belongings.
• Making tails wag.
• Other duties as assigned.
