About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Rover Resort. The role provides hands-on care for pets in a pet-care facility, helping keep animals safe, comfortable, and well cared for. The work is physically active and involves cleaning, handling pets, and exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Prior kennel or animal-care experience is a plus, but candidates who are new to the field and eager to learn are welcome. Pay starts at $14.00 per hour, depending on experience, plus tips. Earned wages can be accessed through DailyPay. The position requires availability on evenings, weekends, and holidays, and the ability to remain on your feet for the duration of a shift. Employees must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and frequently stand, walk, and climb stairs. The Animal Care Attendant reports to the General Manager.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal-care experience.
Experience working with dogs and cleaning kennels.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve pets meals and provide fresh water.
Monitor the health and well-being of pet guests, including observing their elimination.
Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime.
Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
Handle laundry and pets’ belongings to keep them clean.
Perform other duties as assigned.
