Animal Care Attendant (Flexible Working Hours)
About The Position
Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Dog Spot Hotel to provide hands-on care for pet guests. The role involves maintaining clean and safe enclosures and play areas, providing food and water, monitoring pets’ health and behavior, supervising play, and assisting with grooming and bathing. The work is physically active and may involve exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required. The position reports to the General Manager. Prior kennel or animal-care experience is a plus, but candidates who are new to the field and eager to learn are welcome.
Requirements
- A strong love of animals.
- A cool, calm, and professional demeanor.
- Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
- Ability to remain on feet for the duration of a shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
- Serve meals and provide fresh water to pet guests.
- Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including observing and reporting waste-related details.
- Report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
- Supervise pets during playtime.
- Assist with brushing and bathing.
- Handle laundry and pet belongings to ensure items are clean.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
