About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Golrusk Pet Care Center. The role involves hands-on care for pet guests in a pet care center, helping maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment while supporting their daily needs and wellbeing. The position requires schedule flexibility, including availability for evening shifts (3 p.m.–8 p.m.), weekends, and holidays. It is physically active, involving prolonged standing and frequent walking and stair climbing, and includes exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents.

Requirements

A strong love for animals.
A calm and professional demeanor.
Willingness to perform hands-on work and get dirty.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to remain on their feet for the duration of a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Schedule flexibility, including the ability to work night shifts from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal care experience.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve meals and provide fresh water to pets.
Monitor the health and wellbeing of pet guests and report unusual observations to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime.
Assist with brushing and bathing.
Handle laundry and pets’ belongings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
