About The Position

Destination Pet is hiring an Animal Care Attendant at Creature Comforts to care for pets in a pet-care center. The role involves maintaining clean and safe pet spaces, providing food and water, monitoring pets, supervising play, and assisting with bathing, brushing, laundry, and pet belongings. This is a hands-on, on-your-feet job that involves exposure to cleaning supplies, pet hair, and animal accidents. Evening, weekend, and holiday availability is required; AM and PM shifts are available.

Requirements

A strong love for animals.
A calm and professional demeanor.
Willingness to perform hands-on work, including getting dirty.
Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
Ability to remain on one’s feet for the duration of a shift.
Ability to stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently.
Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

Prior kennel or animal care experience.
Weekend availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

Keep pet enclosures and play areas clean, safe, and sanitized.
Serve pets meals and provide fresh water.
Monitor each pet guest’s health and well-being, including observing their waste.
Report anything unusual to the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
Supervise pets during playtime and activities.
Assist with brushing and bathing pets.
Handle laundry and pets’ belongings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
