About The Position
We are seeking experienced Anesthesiologists for a 1 year contract with the Department of Veterans Affairs in Aurora, Colorado. This unique opportunity is open to board certified & eligible Anesthesiologists with any unrestricted U.S. medical license and offers a full time schedule, 401k, and full healthcare benefits. TEE certified physicians are encouraged to apply!
Requirements
- Any Current, Unrestricted U.S. State Medical License
- Board Certified or Board Eligible by the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA)
- ACLS/BLS Current Certification
Nice To Haves
- Advanced Certification in Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE)
- Fellowship training in Cardiac Anesthesia and/or Critical Care
- Recent experience performing cardiac anesthesia, including CABG and cardiac valve procedures
Responsibilities
- 95% Direct Patient Care
- Typical Operating Room Tasks
- General Anesthesia Care, Pre- & Post-Op
- Acute pain management, airway assistance, CPR, sedation and anesthesia outside of the OR as needed
- Comprehensive Clinical Anesthesiology Services (cardiac surgery, orthopedic joint replacement, and major vascular, thoracic, neurosurgical, plastic, ENT, urologic and ophthalmologic operations)
