About The Position

NorthStar Anesthesia is seeking a full-time Anesthesiologist to join its established anesthesia team at Crestwood Medical Center in Huntsville, Alabama. The practice has been at Crestwood for more than 15 years. The 180-bed hospital has no trauma, cardiac, or pediatric services. Cases include bread-and-butter anesthesia, neuro, OB, ortho, and GI.

There is no in-house call. First call is 1:7 and is taken from home by beeper. Call-backs to the hospital may be required for C-sections, emergency cases, and requests for procedural assistance by the night shift. Compensation is $464,400. The position includes nine weeks of PTO, a $100,000 sign-on bonus in exchange for a three-year commitment, and an annual clinical retention bonus of $10,600. Meals at the hospital are paid for.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for bread-and-butter, neuro, OB, orthopedic, and GI cases.
• Take first call from home on a 1:7 rotation using a beeper.
• Return to the hospital when called for C-sections, emergency cases, or procedural assistance requested by the night shift.
