About The Position

The Anesthesia Technician provides support to anesthesia providers under the direction of an anesthesiologist or CRNA. The role maintains anesthesia supplies and equipment and assists with patient care. The schedule is 5 x 8 days.

Frye Regional Medical Center is a 355-bed acute care hospital and an 81-bed behavioral health facility in the foothills of North Carolina. It employs more than 1,500 professional and clinical staff and provides a broad range of inpatient and outpatient care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Certification for Surgical Technology with the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting.
• Competency in at least three specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Stock anesthesia supplies in operating rooms, Labor & Delivery, and anesthesia supply rooms.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment, including anesthesia machines, ventilators, cardiac monitors, fluid warmers, end-tidal CO2 monitors, and pulse oximeters.
• Assist with patient care.
