About The Position
Assist in the care of patients undergoing anesthesia including preparation and maintenance of equipment, set-up of medications and supplies, and communication with anesthesiologists. Provide specialized support and operate sophisticated medical equipment while assisting with difficult procedures and offering on-call support.
Requirements
- BLS certification.
- Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Tech.
Nice To Haves
- A four-year college education with technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
- Certification by a recognized professional certifying body preferred.
Responsibilities
- Assist in patient care and anesthesia equipment preparation.
- Operate cell-saver machine and provide on-call support.
- Ensure preventative maintenance of anesthesia equipment.
- Assist in training programs and staff development.
- Perform set-up and troubleshooting of anesthesia equipment.
- Set up rooms and carts throughout the day.
- Provide backup to shift supervisor as needed.
