About The Position
This is a full-time Anesthesia Tech position with a shift of 8-hour days, either from 6 am - 2:30 pm or 7 am - 3:30 pm. The position also requires taking call when needed. The general duties include assisting the Anesthesia Department in preparing equipment and procuring supplies, providing assistance in emergency procedures and elective scheduled cases, and preparing and transporting surgical patients. The role also involves performing cell-saving duties, assisting in the maintenance of all supplies, and taking call when necessary.
Requirements
- Current American Heart Association BLS Certification (maintain current at all times)
- 1-5 years experience
- Cell Saver training within 30 days of hire date
Responsibilities
- Order and stock supplies
- Stock anesthesia carts
- Troubleshoot anesthesia machines
- Assist with normal and difficult intubations
- Assist with line insertion
- Functions as cell saver operator
- Process endoscopes
- Assist with room turnover
- Transport patients as assigned
