About The Position

This position assists anesthesia providers and the ambulatory surgery center (ASC) team with acquiring, preparing, and applying equipment and supplies for anesthesia and nerve blocks. The Anesthesia Tech prepares, sets up, calibrates, troubleshoots, and maintains patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after anesthesia. The role also supports patient transport and positioning, resuscitative efforts, cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of work areas and equipment, and supply and inventory management.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED from an accredited program.
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
• At least 2 years of experience working as an anesthesia technician.
• Proficiency in operating and decontaminating anesthesia equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Completion of an anesthesia technician training program approved by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians (ASATT).
• Certified Anesthesia Technician.
• At least 2 years of experience working as an anesthesia technician.
• Microsoft Word proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Assist with transporting and positioning patients and with resuscitative efforts.

• Manage supplies and inventory.
