Android Engineer

This job is for an Android engineer who will be responsible for delivering apps and providing support to financial institutions. The engineer will work with a front-end consultant and may travel globally. The role involves establishing and scaling up a new hub in Krakow to support HQ in Amsterdam. The engineer will work with customers or partners to implement mobile solutions, provide guidance in decision-making processes, and experiment with emerging technologies. The ideal candidate has developed at least three apps, has expert knowledge of the Android platform, and has a "getting things done" mentality.

• Deliver astonishing apps and provide support within short timeframes for banks and other financial institutions
• Work with a front-end consultant and potentially travel to all continents for the job
• Help establish and scale up a new hub in Krakow to support HQ in Amsterdam
• Work with customers directly or with partners to implement mobile solutions
• Tailor-made code to seamlessly integrate products with customers' systems
• Build apps mainly using native technology but also work on hybrid mobile apps
• Train and support development teams on-site
• Provide guidance with expert advice in decision-making processes
• Take the lead in a project as the mobile expert technician
• Create roadmaps for new product development and generate a feedback loop from customers to the R&D department
• Experiment with emerging technologies.

• Developed at least three apps, with one available on Google Play
• Entrepreneurial mindset, experience running own business a plus
• Over-delivers without under-promising
• Expert knowledge of the Android platform

• Strong presentation skills or willingness to learn
• Ability to share knowledge and explain concepts clearly during trainings and workshops
