About The Position

The Analytics and Automation Centre of Excellence (AACoE) is a focused Network Services group responsible for advancing Network Services’ capabilities in automation, orchestration, data analytics, tooling, and all aspects of functionality integrations within the SLF ecosystem of tools. This role supports and aligns with the Digital Enterprise journey. The position reports to the Director, Analytics and Automation Centre of Excellence and is primarily responsible for tooling, analytics, and automation design, delivery, and capability management for the network ecosystem, aiming to increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Information Technology/Computer Science or equivalent education.
  • Progressive network and information technology experience.
  • Experience in data extraction, data visualization, and analysis.
  • Practical and hands-on experience in coding using one or more programming languages such as Python, R, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • Knowledge in Network Programmability and integration with YANG, YAML, XML, JSON, NETCONF, RESTCONF.
  • Thrives in an Agile and fast-paced environment, with the ability to stay calm in high-risk, high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with other teams, remaining professional, positive, and patient.
  • Prepares and presents service level updates and status reports on Projects, Network Statistics, Budgets, etc.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Programming, Coding, API (RESTFul/SOAP), Automation experience.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and monitoring systems.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining comprehensive network technical documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in advancing enabling technologies for Automation, Data & Analytics, DevOps, API, and Digital Assets within Network Services and for business partners, supporting on-premises or in-cloud services and technologies.
  • Develop and deploy automation and analytical solutions, data extraction tools, visualizations, dashboards, and machine learning models.
  • Promote analytics throughout DBTS.
  • Participate and collaborate with AACoE peers and ENS stakeholders to improve processes and increase efficiency by delivering effective and secure analytics and automation solutions.
  • Perform analysis of data, communicate reports, and transform findings into actionable insights to aid stakeholders in making informed business decisions.
  • Provide advanced problem-solving support to mentor technicians and enhance their problem-solving skills, including problem strategy development, advanced problem management techniques, and evaluation/feedback loops for process improvement.
  • Solve typical problems escalated from technicians, such as failed end-user hardware, local user software errors, and single-user virus incident remediation.
