About The Position

We are looking for a talented and motivated student to join our ServiceNow Development team in Toronto. In this role, you will help us build and maintain both custom-built and cloud-based applications to support various departments within OMERS. Depending on the projects you work on, this role could include front-end and/or back-end development, requirements gathering, solution design, documentation, testing, bug fixing and resolution of time sensitive issues. Please note this is an 8-month student opportunity.

Requirements

Currently pursuing an university degree or college diploma in Computer Science or Computer Programming
Self-motivated, able to manage time, and work with minimal supervision
Proficient with the following technologies: JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, jQuery, MySQL, Web Services (JSON, XML, REST, SOAP)
Experienced in application development & support, including cross-platform integrations
Experienced with integration & web-service concepts (REST API, SOAP, JDBC)
Experienced with workflow analysis and design
Confident in your written and verbal communication skills
Comfortable with requirements gathering and able to translate business requirements into technical documentation
Collaborative and work well within a fast-paced team environment
Able to present ideas and share knowledge to team members or internal stakeholders
Open to the introduction of new ideas, creative thinking & problem solving

Responsibilities

ServiceNow application development, cross-application development, and application interface design
Application support, maintenance, data standardization & administration processes
Requirement analysis, planning and documentation
Configuration & support for inbound and outbound integrations
End-user support of existing applications
