Our Digitization and Automation Team within Global Wealth and Asset Management (GWAM) is looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, team-oriented individual who will focus on developing digital, automated solutions in collaboration with other team members and in partnership with our business partners across GWAM Operations. We are currently looking for a highly motivated student to join us in our Waterloo, Ontario, Canada office for an 8-month co-op, running from September 1st 2026– April 23rd 2027. This is a hybrid position, where you are expected to be in the office Tuesday-Thursday, with the opportunity to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays.

Requirements

  • Working on a degree or certificate in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science/Analytics or related discipline.
  • Experience with programming languages, data platforms, or sources like SQL, C#.NET, and MS Power Platform.
  • Passionate about agile delivery to deliver high-quality automation solutions that enhance customer outcomes.
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive, flexible attitude, and a desire to pitch in wherever needed.
  • Strong time management, planning, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Understanding of the financial services industry or wealth and asset management.
  • Proficiency with Visual Studio (or a comparable IDE).

Responsibilities

  • Apply your skills in Azure to create, migrate, and update existing applications and automations to transform the business.
  • Create and enhance applications and automations using C#.NET and SQL.
  • Develop practical skills using the Microsoft suite of products including IIS, Azure Cloud Services, and Power Platform.
  • Apply your analytical skills and critical thinking to ask questions, understand business drivers, priorities, precision to scope, and requirements on initiatives.
  • Capitalize on the ability to build and foster positive, effective relationships to strengthen partnerships with key partners.
  • Deliver documented solution requirements and propose solutions in a clear and concise manner.
  • Propose business decisions that get results and solve customer problems.
