About The Position

This role will provide planning and strategic support to senior executives within Digital Business & Technology Solutions and to various internal partners throughout the organization. The focus will be on executive strategy sessions, balanced scorecards, and research and competitive intelligence gathering for digital transformation initiatives.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or equivalent degree with a focus on Engineering or Technology, with supporting education or experience in business management.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or equivalent degree with a focus on Business Management, with supporting education or experience in digital technology.
  • Currently enrolled in a post-secondary or equivalent degree with a focus on Humanities or Communications, with supporting education or experience in both business management and digital technology.
  • Excellent MS PowerPoint skills, including an understanding of presentation process (storyboard to finished product and speaker notes).
  • Excellent MS Excel skills in the context of financial management, including the ability to visualize, interpret, and report results.
  • Excellent communication skills, written and oral.
  • Writing skills include an ability to translate technical content into laymen terms consumable by senior executive readers.
  • A demonstrated interest in digital, technology, and innovation.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with executive/senior management communications, e.g., workshops, reporting to executives, or communications to a broad external audience.
  • Experience or demonstrated familiarity with agile delivery methodologies.
  • Interest or experience in strategy consulting, marketing, UX/UI design, graphic design.
  • Interest or experience in digital technology – Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, Cloud, Digital.
  • Interest or experience in financial services and/or finance background.

Responsibilities

  • Support the CIO, technology executives, delivery teams, and business partners to define and advance strategic ambitions.
  • Support key initiatives within Sun Life’s digital transformation programs, including the target operating model, organizational design, digital metrics and objectives, and coordinating executive workshops and meetings.
  • Support the development, socialization, and management of digital metrics, objectives and key results (OKRs), and balanced scorecards to provide insights on progress towards operational and transformational technology ambitions.
  • Support the expansion of IT's presence across the organization through executive-level communications, reporting, and business development.
