About The Position

Sonar is seeking a highly motivated, organized, and resourceful Analyst to join the CEO Office. The Analyst works directly with the Chief of Staff (CoS) and CEO, providing flexible support across a varied mix of analysis, planning, writing, coordination, and execution. The role supports the CoS, CEO, and Executive Leadership Team (ELT), helping the CEO Office run smoothly and keeping the company aligned. Work may range from preparing the CEO for high-profile events to analyzing business metrics and supporting company-wide events. The position requires comfort with ambiguity, fast learning, attention to detail, rapid prioritization, and the ability to switch between ongoing responsibilities and urgent, one-off requests. Alongside ad hoc projects, the Analyst owns ongoing workstreams covering the company's internal knowledge base, internal events and presentations, and practical use of AI tools to improve how the CEO Office operates. Sonar's in-office culture has three anchor days—Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday—and candidates must be genuinely based in the location where the role is posted. Relocation may be supported for the right person.

Requirements

  • 1–3 years of experience in management consulting or in a business role at a fast-paced scale-up.

  • Hands-on experience with AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, and Glean, with a track record of using them to work faster and better.
  • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, including turning complex analysis into polished decks, writing concise senior-audience briefings, and drafting clear company-wide announcements.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn messy data into concise takeaways.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and conduct oneself appropriately in the CEO Office.
  • Professional presence with senior stakeholders inside and outside the company.
  • Strong prioritization skills and the ability to manage competing demands and tight deadlines with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and engage with managers, leaders, and executives across the business.
  • Curiosity and commitment to learning and upskilling, especially in the latest AI tools.
  • Proactive, solution-oriented approach, with a bias for action and ownership through completion.
  • Must be genuinely based in the location where the role is posted.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with internal or external communications.
  • Experience building dashboards or reports.
  • Experience with tools such as Slack, Google Workspace, and Confluence.
  • Relocation may be supported for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Provide flexible, immediate support to the CEO and Chief of Staff, and at times Senior Management, on varied, high-priority special projects.
  • Conduct ad hoc business analyses, gather information from multiple sources, explain changes in metrics, and present findings with clear takeaways or recommendations.
  • Coordinate executive activities, including preparing briefing materials and managing follow-ups for external meetings and events.
  • Connect internal stakeholders and teams to support timely execution and delivery of critical projects.
  • Prepare agendas, pre-reads, notes, and follow-ups for executive meetings and operating-rhythm forums; track actions and decisions through completion.
  • Test emerging AI tools and capabilities against real CEO Office work and use AI to accelerate analysis, research, drafting, and preparation.
  • Build and share reusable AI workflows, prompts, and automations, such as Claude skills and agents.
  • Help the CoS, ELT, and wider teams develop practical AI skills through demonstrations, short guides, and hands-on support.
  • Maintain the internal knowledge base, ensuring content is accurate, current, and aligned with company priorities; reorganize or retire outdated documentation as needed.
  • Own the internal knowledge content strategy, including how information is structured, labeled, and maintained for use by AI tools such as Glean and Claude.
  • Work with teams across the company to identify content owners, close information gaps, and ensure important resources and updates are posted in the right place.
  • Support planning and execution of all-hands meetings, managers meetings, and other large-scale internal presentations.
  • Help plan and run the annual company kickoff, including agenda, logistics, content, and follow-up.
  • Prepare polished, on-brand leadership materials aligned with company messaging.
