About The Position

As an Analyst in HSBC’s Technology, Media and Telecom (TMT) team, you will support client coverage and transaction execution across a broad range of banking solutions. Working closely with senior bankers, you will develop analysis, materials, and client insights that help position HSBC as a trusted partner to TMT clients. The role operates in a fast-paced, regulated environment where accuracy, judgment, and follow-through are important. You will monitor market and regulatory developments and explain their implications for clients and internal stakeholders. You will work across product partners and coverage teams to support TMT clients’ important transactions and ongoing banking needs. Success involves producing high-quality deliverables, providing effective execution support, and developing capability across client work over time. Requirements

Experience in banking, consulting, or relevant sector roles.
Strong financial analysis and modeling skills to support client advice and execution work.
Ability to produce clear, high-quality written materials and presentations using Excel and PowerPoint.
Effective communication with bankers and product partners to coordinate deliverables and timelines.
Understanding of corporate banking products and sector trends, particularly in TMT.
Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
Consistent compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
FINRA Series 63 and 79 licenses, or equivalent demonstrable experience and willingness to obtain the licenses within a set timeframe.
Legal authorization to work in the United States; HSBC will not provide immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain analysis supporting client coverage and transaction execution in the TMT sector.
Create accurate, tailored pitch books and client presentations for senior review.
Support origination and execution across Credit & Lending, Leveraged & Acquisition Finance, Capital Markets, Transaction Banking, Global Markets, and Asset Management.
Monitor industry trends, regulatory changes, and market intelligence, and summarize their implications for clients.
Evaluate client portfolios, sectors, and competitors, and prepare insights for internal and external discussions.
Coordinate inputs across product partners to support timely deliverables and client engagement.
Maintain data quality in internal systems and ensure outputs meet internal standards.
Follow internal policies and external regulations in all activities and documentation.
