The Program Management Office (PMO) Analyst empowers engineering leadership with clear, timely insights into capital portfolio performance, ensuring confident decision‑making across a $1.2B North American engineering program. By collaborating with field teams, project owners, and finance, this role strengthens project controls, improves forecast accuracy, and drives actionable outcomes through transparent reporting and budget visibility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license
  • 1–2+ years of relevant experience in reporting, program controls, Engineering quality assurance or general analysis
  • Proficiency in Excel (financial modeling, VBA, Power Query) and Power BI, with demonstrated AI prompting capability to enhance analysis and efficiency
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to construct reporting templates and refine existing reports
  • Effective cross‑functional communication abilities
  • Experience with SAP and data visualization tools

Responsibilities

  • Develop monthly capital forecasts by gathering insights, analyzing outlooks, and identifying risks or areas of concern
  • Partner with engineering leadership to address performance challenges and drive actionable mitigation strategies
  • Identify budget constraints and scope changes, overseeing the Project Change Notice (PCN) process in alignment with engineering and finance
  • Contribute and lead monthly and annual review meetings with Assistant Chief Engineers to analyze results, drivers, and forecast refinements
  • Identify and advance opportunities to improve engineering performance, controls, and reporting transparency
  • Consolidate and refresh daily, weekly, and monthly reporting across multiple systems including SAP ECC, S/4HANA, Excel, Power BI, and internal platforms
  • Support ad‑hoc analyses, including project spend breakdowns, cost driver assessments, and detailed drill‑downs across complex capital portfolios
