About The Position

This position supports the data analysis needs of the Technical Solutions team, including innovation, technical sales assistance, and program support for Eversource energy efficiency and decarbonization programs serving residential, multifamily, commercial, and industrial sectors. The role evaluates data on new technology performance, analyzes program offer data, reviews and summarizes project information, and helps improve program offerings and tools across Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The position involves multiple simultaneous activities and competing deadlines, with work performed under pressure and tied to significant business commitments and results. The assignment lasts 1 1/2 years.

Responsibilities

Partner with team members and relevant stakeholders to understand analysis objectives, processes, and decision needs, and translate them into clear analytical and data requirements.
Perform hands-on energy efficiency and decarbonization project data analysis, including profiling, trend and outlier analysis, and reconciliation, to support insights into program production and market trends.
Troubleshoot and rectify energy efficiency project energy-savings data quality issues, ensuring results align with building science and energy engineering principles.
Triage project data analysis issues using technical evidence, identify likely root causes, and help coordinate resolution with appropriate internal teams associated with energy efficiency offers.
Use SQL or equivalent querying, Power BI, and Excel to validate data, reconcile results, and produce repeatable analysis for a project or measure portfolio.
Communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical audiences.
Help facilitate discussions about energy efficiency and decarbonization measure definitions, eligibility, engineering assumptions, and best practices to produce reasonable savings results.
Evaluate data from field studies involving innovative energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies to inform their impact on current and future Eversource programs.
