About The Position
Lightshare Behavioral Wellness & Recovery is seeking a Psychiatric APRN to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication clinics in a substance use disorder treatment setting. The position involves assessing clients’ physical, mental, and developmental health, managing assigned clients’ healthcare, and coordinating treatment and referrals as appropriate. Requirements
- Psychiatric APRN qualification to perform psychiatric evaluations and medication clinics.
- APRN credential issued by the Florida Board of Nursing and the American Nurses Credentialing Center as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Responsibilities
- Interview clients and obtain and record health histories.
- Perform physical assessments and assess clients’ mental and developmental status.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures when necessary.
- Manage healthcare for assigned clients, including health teaching and counseling, nutritional recommendations and dietary modifications, consultation, collaborative management, and referrals as appropriate.
- Evaluate outcomes of prescribed treatment and plans of care.
- Analyze health behaviors related to personality, illness, culture, and lifestyle, and their impact on clients’ health.
- Maintain medical records.
- Provide emergency treatment.
- Refer clients to community resources when applicable.
