About The Position

This position supports the data analysis needs of the Technical Solutions team in innovation, technical sales assistance, and program support for Eversource energy efficiency and decarbonization programs serving residential, multifamily, and commercial and industrial sectors. The role analyzes data on new technology performance and program offers, reviews and summarizes project information, and helps improve energy efficiency and decarbonization program offerings and tools in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New Hampshire. The work involves multiple simultaneous activities and competing deadlines, often under pressure and with significant business commitments and results. This is a 1.5-year assignment.

Responsibilities

Partner with team members and relevant stakeholders to understand analysis objectives, processes, and decision needs, and translate them into clear analytical and data requirements.
Analyze energy efficiency and decarbonization project data, including profiling, trends and outliers, and reconciliation, to support insights on energy efficiency production and market trends.
Troubleshoot and rectify energy efficiency project energy savings data quality issues, ensuring results align with building science and energy engineering principles.
Triage project data analysis issues using technical evidence, identify likely root causes, and help coordinate resolution with appropriate internal teams associated with energy efficiency offers.
Use SQL or equivalent querying, Power BI, and Excel to validate data, reconcile results, and produce repeatable analysis for a project or measure portfolio.
Communicate findings clearly in writing and verbally to technical and non-technical audiences.
Help facilitate discussions on energy efficiency and decarbonization measure definitions, eligibility, engineering assumptions, and best practices to produce reasonable savings results.
Evaluate field-study data involving innovative energy efficiency and decarbonization technologies to inform their impact on current and future Eversource programs.
