About The Position

The Analyst, EHS supports the Environmental, Health, Safety, and Sustainability Department at Catalent’s Kansas City facility. The role helps ensure efficient site operations and compliance with EHS&S standards by assisting with program implementation, audits, and initiatives promoting safety and sustainability. The position contributes to maintaining a safe and compliant work environment for employees. The Analyst identifies EHS&S concerns and recommends controls or corrective actions; partners with business units on EHS programs, compliance, and progress tracking; and supports site environmental and safety programs. The role collaborates with technical and operational departments, serves as a subject matter expert for the Emergency Response Program, supports preparation of SOPs and EHS programs, maintains compliance documentation, and conducts audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations. The position is based onsite in Kansas City, Missouri, and works Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety, or a related field.
At least 5 years of related EHS experience.
Ability to complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical publications, including the Code of Federal Regulations and environmental permits.
Working knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.

Nice To Haves

Proficiency in Windows, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access.

Responsibilities

Identify and assess environmental, health, safety, and sustainability concerns and recommend control measures or corrective actions.
Partner with business units on EHS initiatives, programs, and compliance with Catalent Global EHS Management Systems, including program leadership and progress tracking.
Assist with site safety and environmental programs, including air, water, wastewater, waste, and sustainability initiatives.
Collaborate with Technical Services, Quality Control, Production, Validation, Equipment Services, Finance, and Quality Assurance to analyze technical issues related to EHS initiatives.
Serve as the subject matter expert for the Emergency Response Program in coordination with site Security and the Emergency Management Committee.
Support production and engineering in preparing Standard Operating Procedures and EHS programs for compliance.
Maintain files and documentation related to EHS compliance activities.
Conduct audits, inspections, hazard assessments, and investigations of violations; recommend actions and support closure of findings.
Stay current on local, state, and federal requirements, including OSHA, EPA, NFPA, RCRA, ANSI, FDA, and GMP requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned.
