About The Position

North Clarion School District is seeking AmeriCorps members for the 2026-2027 term. The program focuses on providing student assistance in academic and social development for students at North Clarion County School District who display risk factors in Reading, Mathematics, Learning Support, and Life Skills. These students have historically underperformed in state assessment testing, necessitating academic intervention. This is a full-time position with a monthly living allowance and an education award upon successful completion of the term.

Requirements

Government Issued Photo ID
Signed Social Security Card
US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship
Ability to process clearances
Must be able to serve 40 hours per week
Must be able to serve for 48 weeks

Responsibilities

Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities
Attend monthly member meetings
Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities
Participate in National Service Days and planned events
Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes
Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community
Participate in a virtual pre-service training prior to serving at assigned host site
Participate in a two-day pre-service training their first and second day of service via virtual training.
