About The Position
North Clarion School District is seeking an AmeriCorps Full Time Member for the 26-27 service term. The member will provide student assistance in academic and social development for students at North Clarion County School District who display risk factors in Reading, Mathematics, Learning Support, and Life Skills. This role is crucial for academic intervention for students who have historically underperformed in state assessments. The position begins in September 2026 and requires a commitment of 40 hours per week. AmeriCorps is a national service movement that engages individuals in addressing critical needs in education, public safety, environment, and human services, fostering community, responsibility, and opportunity.
Requirements
- Government Issued Photo ID
- Signed Social Security Card
- US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship
- Ability to commit to 40 hours per week
- Ability to participate in virtual pre-service training
- Ability to participate in a two-day pre-service training
- Must be able to process clearances

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities
- Attend monthly member meetings
- Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities
- Participate in National Service Days and planned events
- Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes
- Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community
- Participate in a virtual pre-service training prior to serving at assigned host site
- Participate in a two-day pre-service training their first and second day of service via virtual training
- Provide student assistance in academic and social development for students at North Clarion County School District who display risk factors in Reading, Mathematics, Learning Support, and Life Skills.
