About The Position
Fairview School District is seeking an AmeriCorps Full Time Member for the 26-27 term. This position is located in northwestern Pennsylvania and serves students in grades K-12. The district is dedicated to providing high-quality education with a focus on academic achievement, student well-being, and inclusive practices. The AmeriCorps Member will support targeted literacy and math interventions, provide mentoring, and assist with initiatives to strengthen student engagement and connectedness. This role offers hands-on experience in education and the opportunity to make a direct impact on student success. Members will also participate in AmeriCorps activities beyond their host site service, including planning and implementing service-learning projects, attending monthly meetings, completing virtual training, participating in National Service Days, creating a service portfolio, and serving as a community ambassador.
Requirements
- Government Issued Photo ID
- Signed Social Security Card
- US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship
- Must participate in a three-day pre-service training which may be virtual or in-person
- Must agree to participate in AmeriCorps activities in addition to host site placement responsibilities

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities
- Attend monthly member meetings
- Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities
- Participate in National Service Days and planned events
- Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes
- Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community
- Participate in a virtual pre-service training prior to serving at assigned host site
- Support targeted literacy and math interventions
- Provide mentoring
- Assist with initiatives that strengthen student engagement and connectedness
