About The Position
Mercer Elementary School is seeking motivated individuals to join the Keystone SMILES AmeriCorps program for the 26-27 term. As an AmeriCorps member, you will provide one-on-one academic and behavioral interventions to students in need at Mercer Area School District. This role is focused on supporting student success through meaningful engagement and service-learning projects. The program aims to strengthen communities by addressing needs in education, public safety, environment, and human services.
Requirements
- Government Issued Photo ID
- Signed Social Security Card
- US Birth Certificate or another form of Proof of Citizenship
- Must participate in a two-day pre-service training their first and second day of service via virtual training.

Responsibilities
- Plan and implement service-learning projects for students at host sites or in communities
- Attend monthly member meetings
- Complete virtual training to amplify service abilities
- Participate in National Service Days and planned events
- Create a service portfolio and track and report service outcomes
- Serve as an ambassador in your neighborhood and community
- Participate in a virtual pre-service training prior to serving at assigned host site
- Provide meaningful, one-on-one academic and behavioral interventions to students

- Monthly Pretax Living Allowance: $2,600.00 (48 weeks)
