SUMMARY: The Ambulatory Patient Flow Coordinator is responsible for optimizing clinic throughput, exam room utilization, and overall operational efficiency across the ambulatory setting. This role provides real-time coordination of patient flow, proactively addresses capacity constraints, and drives process improvements to enhance patient experience and provider productivity. Oversee real-time patient flow and exam room utilization to ensure efficient throughput and minimal delays. Serve as a central liaison between providers, nursing, administration, and ancillary services to coordinate care delivery. Monitor schedules, staffing, and capacity to anticipate bottlenecks and mitigate operational constraints. Leverage data and analytics to identify inefficiencies and implement workflow improvements. Track and improve exam room turnover times and readiness. Lead or participate in daily operational huddles to align teams, anticipate challenges, and optimize flow. Standardize exam room setup and supply readiness to support consistent, efficient care delivery. Communicate delays to patients and staff to maintain transparency and patient experience. Support Environment of Care rounds and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Participate in staff meetings and ongoing workflow improvement initiatives. Perform additional duties as assigned.
