About The Position

The AM Server guides guests through The Lake House experience by serving as a communicator, decision-maker, and entertainer while proactively providing customer service. The role includes preparing food and beverage service areas, serving guests, processing transactions, maintaining product knowledge, and completing opening, closing, and other assigned duties. Servers must be available for varying schedules and attend scheduled training and departmental sessions.

Requirements

• One year of experience in a previous server position.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work varying schedules from time to time.

Responsibilities

• Set up food and beverage areas, including linens, service ware, and glassware.
• Serve food and beverages professionally.
• Greet guests and respond to requests in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Remove dishes promptly as guests finish each course or meal.
• Process sales transactions using Lightspeed.
• Replenish beverages and check guest satisfaction.
• Run food.
• Handle cash and other forms of payment.
• Check identification for guests who appear to be under 40.
• Provide responsible alcohol service.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of food and beverage products.
• Perform opening, closing, and side duties, including setting up or breaking down stations, refilling condiments, and cleaning.
• Know all table and seat numbers.
• Escort guests to the restroom when able.
• Create “WOW” moments by collecting detailed information along the way.
• Maintain a clean work area.
• Attend all scheduled training and departmental sessions.
• Arrive on time in the assigned work area wearing the complete, clean, and pressed uniform.
• Complete tasks assigned by management.
• Know hotel operations and locations well enough to direct guests and answer general facility questions.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
