About The Position

The AM Server greets and serves guests according to service standards. The role involves taking and serving orders promptly, completing assigned setup and sidework, answering menu questions, using an electronic cash register or point-of-sale system where applicable, and checking food for correct appearance, temperature, and portions before serving. The server is expected to maintain professional, courteous interactions with guests and coworkers, meet hotel standards for work habits and attendance, adapt to changes, learn and improve skills, address routine problems, and follow safety and security procedures.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Ability to communicate well with guests.
• Willingness to help coworkers with their duties and be a team player.
• Ability to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
• Ability to lift at least 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Greet and serve guests according to standards.
• Take and serve guest orders promptly and according to the service manual.
• Complete necessary setup and sidework as assigned.
• Answer guests’ questions about the menu.
• Operate the electronic cash register or P.O.S. system where applicable.
• Check food before serving to ensure its appearance, temperature, and portions are correct.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
• Treat guests and associates with courtesy and respect and remain professional.
• Adhere to hotel security policies and procedures, including key controls, safe lifting, chemical use, and reporting safety hazards or concerns.
