About The Position

The AM Server takes food and beverage orders and courteously and efficiently serves food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guest tables according to hotel specifications. The role collects payments and assists with maintaining the restaurant area and equipment. The server helps ensure daily Food and Beverage operational procedures are completed and that food and beverage safety and quality meet hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications. The position requires Sunday morning availability and a flexible schedule that may include weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Meet the minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and co-workers.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Availability to work Sunday mornings.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Some college.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training, such as TIPS.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for hotel clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and retrieve and serve food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guest tables according to hotel specifications.
• Collect payments.
• Assist with maintaining the restaurant area and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with and completion of daily operational procedures for the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintain food and beverage safety and quality in accordance with hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications.
• Communicate with the General Manager, other department managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
