About The Position

The AM Server works in the restaurant at the Huntington Doubletree. The role takes food and beverage orders, serves food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, collects payments, and helps maintain the restaurant area and equipment. The server must follow hotel specifications and food and beverage safety and quality standards, complete daily operational procedures, communicate with hotel leadership and colleagues, and perform other duties as assigned. This is a part-time position requiring Sunday morning availability and a flexible schedule that includes weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience in a similar position dealing with the public.
• Meet the minimum state age requirement to serve alcoholic beverages.
• Ability to communicate satisfactorily with guests, management, and coworkers so they understand.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training, such as TIPS.
• Availability on Sunday mornings.
• Availability for a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.

Nice To Haves

• Some college.
• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for the clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders and serve food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to guest tables courteously and efficiently, according to hotel specifications.
• Collect payments.
• Assist with maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with and completion of daily Food and Beverage Department operational procedures.
• Maintain food and beverage safety and quality according to hotel, Shaner, and franchise specifications.
• Communicate with the General Manager, other department managers, supervisors, and staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
