About The Position

The Alterations Department Manager leads a team that provides alterations support and ensures customers receive garments customized to fit just right. The manager uses extensive alterations knowledge to efficiently manage department operations, performs the duties of an alterations associate, and develops associates’ skills and performance to meet department goals. Candidates must be professionally competent in all basic and most advanced alterations.

Responsibilities

• Motivate, train, coach, and lead associates by example to deliver outstanding garments and customer service.
• Perform the duties of an alterations associate and ensure garments are completed accurately and on time.
• Develop alterations associates’ skills to meet department goals.
• Assess associate performance and provide feedback to improve service and alterations quality.
• Develop and implement solutions to address customer problems and department needs.
• Manage the operations of the alterations department.
