About The Position

The Alterations Associate is part of the tailoring team and provides customer service and tailoring expertise. The role involves fitting customers, making alteration decisions, performing alterations on a wide range of garments, and helping deliver an exceptional luxury customer experience. The associate follows company, workroom, and tailor procedures; supports store and department initiatives; and maintains a clean and safe work environment. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience with high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Ability to use standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment.
• Ability to use specialty machines, including double-blind, buttonhole, cover-stitch, and leather machines.
• Knowledge of the alterations industry, including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.

Nice To Haves

• Technical background in specialty skills such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, or buttonholes.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
