About The Position

The Alterations Associate is part of the tailoring team and provides customer service and tailoring expertise. The role involves fitting customers, making alterations decisions, and performing alterations on a wide range of luxury garments while supporting a high-quality customer experience. The associate follows company, workroom, and tailor procedures; maintains a clean and safe work environment; and supports store and department initiatives. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of fitting and tailoring experience in high-end merchandise.
• Ability to fit and perform alterations on a wide range of garments.
• Ability to use standard sewing, pressing, and spotting equipment.
• Ability to use specialty machines, including double-blind, buttonhole, cover-stitch, and leather machines.
• Knowledge of the alterations industry, including fabrication and styling of luxury merchandise.
• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Specialty skills such as leather, knits, double face, beading, fine tailoring, and buttonholes are desired and beneficial.
